If there are two things the Arenas Family knows, it is steak and hospitality!  At Palmer's you can expect a mouth-watering steak with a side of great Midwestern hospitality!

Owner and cook Jerry Arenas began cooking steaks at the Famous Rafters Restaurant in Milwaukee when he was just 14 years old!  Not many restaurant turn over the main grill to a teenager who can barely see the top of the grill, but that is exactly how Jerry began.  You can expect one of the best steaks you've ever tasted with 4 decades of grilling experience! Years later at the Rafters Jerry met his future wife Marie.  

After discovering their love for hospitality and great food, Jerry and Marie took the plunge into opening their very own steakhouse.  The [Oringal] Steakhouse 100 on Hwy 100 and Greenfield was their first restaurant.  Then in 1992 they opened the Porterhouse in Milwaukee and solidified their reputation in restaurant industry.   Jerry continued cooking and grilling steaks while Marie ran the floor, welcomed guests, and quickly became known as the best Hostess in the city. The Porterhouse Earned 3 out of 4 stars from the Journal Sentinel.

In 2005 Jerry get an anonymous call about a restaurant for sale, the Cobblestone Inn.  On a wintery December day, Jerry and Marie drove into downtown Hartland and immediately fell in love.  ...Fell in love with Hartland, the Beautiful Downtown, and the Cobblestone Inn.  Jerry and Marie could not say no, and they purchased the Cobblestone. 

The building needed a ton of work!  The previous owner left suddenly leaving the building with frozen cracked pipes, a damaged boiler system, and more problems then one could find in the movie "The Money Pit."  Not letting this stop their dream and vision for a new steakhouse, Jerry and Marie were dedicated to bringing the building back to its Historical look.  The entire building was gutted from front to back.  You could stand at the front door and see to the back of the kitchen.  After over a half of year of renovations and re-modeling, you will see the old "Cobblestone Charm" has been restored.  In June of 2006 Palmer's Steakhouse opened to a huge crowd of local supporters and friends!  

Within months Palmer's Steakhouse was getting local and national attention.   Just 3 months after opening Palmer's earned 3 1/2 out of 4 stars from the Journal Sentinel and a couple months later was featured in the USA Today.   

This time Jerry and Marie were not alone, however.  Son Tony, recently graduated from Marquette, joined the family business.  Using his degree in Marketing, Tony has brought Palmer's to the digital age managing the website and other social media outlets.   You can interact with Tony on Facebook via trivia questions, contests, and other giveaways! Tony's other love, wine, is expressed on Palmer's award winning wine list.  You will find over 200 selections on this list and you will be sure to find a glass of wine you love in the over 40 selections by the glass.   Tony continually tastes and adds new wines to the list to ensure you always have something new to try! 
 

Today at Palmer's there is rarely a day in which the family is not there.  Jerry still is in the kitchen most nights and has estimated he has cooked hundreds of thousands of steaks in his lifetime.  You will love his steaks!  On most nights your dining experience will begin by being greeted at the door by Marie or Tony.  

Palmer's continues to make a splash in the industry winning Milwaukee's Best Steakhouse in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013, 2014, and 2016 while also winning Wine Spectators Award of Excellence in 2010, 2011,  2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.  They also won Milwaukee's Best Wine List in 2013!
