Close your eyes and imagine a private setting for you and your group. You walk over to the rail and see huge white snowflakes flying outside. You look down to the river and see the frozen creek below and completely forget you are outside as the high-powered heaters have you feeling warm and toasty already! Beautiful holiday decorations adorn the area as you hear Christmas music playing in the background. Steaks, Fresh Seafood, Fine Wine all in a private "outdoor" setting! Your family, co-workers, or clients will remember this unique experience forever!
Our high-powered gas heaters are unique to Palmer's Winter-Igloo. Most other "domes" have 1 or 2 small space heaters requiring you to stay bundled up in winter coats and hats and gloves. Palmer's Igloo generally stays much warmer, almost 40 degrees above the outside temperature. Also, unlike other "domes" Palmer's Igloo connects to Palmer's dining room so when your server delivers your food, it stays nice and hot, not getting cold as it's walked outside.
Most often a sweater is plenty for warmth. Even though we have additional heaters spaced out along the floor to keep your feet warm and toasty, we suggest wearing close-toed shoes. If you're generally a cold person, a light pullover or jacket might be a good idea.
We can fit up to 16 people on multiple tables. Smaller groups can fit on one table.
The short answer - a long time! :) We let you enjoy Palmer's Winter Igloo for up to 4 hours beginning at 7:30pm. We know you are celebrating with family or friends and we think you should have plenty of time with everyone!
Currently we are only offering 7:30pm Igloo Rentals. This is because this area is used for general dining from 4-7pm.
Our full menu is available to you. There are no limitations on what you can order. Our chef may call you in advance to get a feel of what you are looking to order to make sure our inventory is set if you plan on ordering 12-16 of the same item.
On weekdays you need to spend a minimum of $2,000 in food and beverage and on weekends you need to spend a minimum of $3,000 in food and beverage. Tax and a server gratuity of 20% are not included in that amount. If you are short of the minimum by the end of your evening, the difference will be reconciled with a room charge. For example, if you spend $1,850 on a Tuesday night, there would be an additional $150 room charge added.
In the case of extreme cold, blizzard, or dangerous icy conditions, we may need to cancel reservations to ensure safety and your comfort level. If this happens we will reach out to you as soon as possible to reschedule your group or offer a refund. We will make every attempt to make the cancellations well in advance of your reserved time, but reserve the right to make fully-refunded cancellations in the case of emergent weather conditions at any time.
Yes, you may cancel your reservation for a full refund at any time before 48 hours of your reservation. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice (or no-shows) will be charged the $500 deposit.
